What is your favorite Learning Grove core value and why?
My favorite value is “Crushing it humbly.” I think it is important to do great work, no matter what. Knowing that I am making a difference in the lives of children and families every day gives me a sense of pride.
What do you like to do in your spare time?
I love spending time with my family, especially my three nephews. I also spend time working out at Orangetheory (and according to my co-workers too much time talking about it-Lol). I also love to read and bake.
What’s your favorite part of your job?
My favorite part of my job is sharing all the wonderful things that happen at Learning Grove with the community. Planning events is fun too!
What’s the most unique part about working here?
Learning Grove has a feeling of community. If you walk into our main office, an early learning center or an after-school program, you will always feel welcome and accepted.
How have you grown professionally while on our team?
Definitely! I feel like I have grown both personally and professionally during my time at Learning Grove. Starting as a member of Children Inc.’s development team to now working with the great Learning Grove Advancement team, it has been wonderful to see the organization grow while I have grown with it.
What was your favorite part about being a child? Or favorite childhood memory.
My favorite part of being a child was spending the summer at our local pool. I loved spending the whole day swimming and playing with my friends. It is still how I choose to spend a free Saturday in the summer.
How does the Learning Grove mission connect to your work?
I feel like my work connects to the mission in an exciting way. Through my work in Marketing, I get to spread awareness of Learning Grove to the public. I get to share the stories of the organization with the community via our social media and other platforms. I also connect with donors and volunteers during fundraisers and other events.
